A novena is nine days of devotional prayer. It recalls the time of prayer observed by Mary, the Apostles, and other Disciples of Jesus between Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Sunday. These nine days before the gift of the spirit set the tradition for a novena of special prayer. Devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague is a devotion to the Child Jesus. It is the veneration of the Son of God, who in the form of an infant chose a stable for a palace, a manger for a cradle, and shepherds for worshipers. Our Savior grants special graces to all who venerate His sacred Infancy. This pamphlet contains two novenas and other prayers to the Child Jesus in the form of the Holy Infant of Prague. Our Lord offers special graces to those who venerate His Infancy. The Holy Infant of Prague is said to offer special aid in temporal matters.
